CWC INDENT
Evaluation
In class sue gave us the task to create a ident specific for City of Westminster College, our group consisted of Raymond, Alessandra, Shaniz and Me (Jordan).
To begin our ident for our college we had to begin with critical planning of initial ideas of what we wanted to include. We then created 3 mind maps of all our ideas and then deciding on the best one to use. I believe that I managed my time very constructively as I tried to keep myself busy at all times and asking members of my group if they need help whenever signs of struggle appeared. I rate myself a 4 as I was absent once throughout this task meaning the production process of our ident was slowed down.
I therefore rated my group 5 out of 5 as they where always ready and keen to keep on working, even when I was absent they filled me in with any idea changes that was made on that day and also asked for my input. Our college ident very much related to the design brief as we included different areas of work that the college educates, and also including the college name and logo.
In our animation we included the clay mation technique which is a technique we learnt how to use and evaluate in class, so we decided to include a morph interacting with a college student so that our ident relates to not only a younger target audience but an older target audience, we received feedback from our fellow classmates and said that they 'Really enjoyed the ident' but we also received negative feedback as the morph put his middle finger up which is very inappropriate and could be changed by including another shot of the morph or blanking out the morph hand.
What I would do differently? The things that i would do differently is include more areas of animation techniques to showcase our talents and make the college ident even more interesting to watch and eye catchy. We also needed to include a shot which appears to be missing which is the transition the the classroom door to the desk as comments on the video, this was addressed. I believe as a group we worked very well and I would defiantly chose the same people again to work with.
