Comparing 2 Idents

The two idents in which I will be comparing is "BBC One- Ident- 'Capes'- 2008" and "BBC Zoetrope Ident," one creating a futuristic feel and the other creating a more naturalistic every day feel of a real life persona

BBC Zeotrope Ident 

BBC One Ideny

"BBC Zeotrope Ident" contains both old and future graphics which plays on gender stereotypes, in this channel ident (BBC Two) is mainly directed at a male orientation aged 30+, as past filming techniques have been introduced; such as flash gordon which is a science fiction comic strip that was used to convey a surrealistic scenery as flying cars and space ships are displayed throughout the ident with plain textual font  relating to the older target audience.

BBC One ident of a grey/ rainy day, displaying a typical day of london weather as the weather but the weather then changes to a sunny background and a dramatic display of bright colours indicating the BBC One logo as being friendly and very warm and welcoming to watch the channel. Both BBC idents have a simular feature as the BBC Zeotrope ident begins with a circular motion and the BBC One Ident ends with a constant circular motion of people cycling.
